Mrs. Roxanna Horton

Roxanna Horton is thrilled to begin her thirteenth year at Lovettsville Elementary, especially as a fifth-grade teacher! She has been teaching elementary education for 30 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education, both from the State University of New York in New Paltz, NY.  She has taught in Loudoun County for 20 years. She loves teaching all subjects, but her favorites are Math and Science!   In 2006-2007 she was Loudoun County's Educator at the Smithsonian NASM, Udvar Hazy Center.   She has spent time learning in Space Camp and has taken courses in Oceanography,  Ecology, and Mathematics. Before moving to Virginia, she taught 10 years in Pine Bush, New York.  Her interests include puzzles, hiking, running, and spending time with her family.
