    E (Exceeding the Standard)
     M (Meeting the Standard)
     P (Progressing Towards the Standard)
    B (Below the Standard)
     

    Graded assignments will be marked with the appropriate letter grade as listed above.  These grades do not correlate with the letter grades A, B, C, etc.  Most students will meet and progress toward the grade level skills and goals.

    Tests, quizzes, observations, class participation, class work, and projects will all be used collectively in order to determine final report card grades.

    E/4

    Grades

    95-100

    with a higher-level understanding and explanation to the extension questions

    Exceeds expectations on standard.

    This grade is given only when a student can independently and consistently exceed, or go beyond, the grade level expectations.

    M/3

    This is the expected learning target goal

    for every student.

    Grades 80-100 without extension

    Meets expectations on standard

    This grade indicates that a student is performing according to the grade level expectations, and meets grade level appropriate skills and goals.

    P/2

    Progressing toward expectations on standard

    This grade indicates that students are working toward building grade level appropriate skills and goals.  Most of these skills and goals will be worked on throughout the school year.

    B/1

    This grade indicates that a student will need reinforcement from home and school to improve a particular skill or goal.
