This is Ms. Veltz's ninth year teaching in Loudoun County as a Resource Specialist. Ms. Veltz will be working with kindergarten and fourth grade students this year. She is very excited and looks forward to a wonderful school year!
Prior to moving to Loudoun County, Ms. Veltz worked with students with multiple disabilities for the Board of Cooperative Educational Services in Rochester, New York. Ms. Veltz earned her Bachelors in Childhood Education and her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the State University of New York at Fredonia. She also attended the State University at Brockport where she received a Masters Extension in Special Education.
When Ms. Veltz is not teaching, she enjoys exploring all the natural beauty that Virginia has to offer. She loves long distance running and spends a great deal of time hiking. When she is not outside, Ms. Veltz can be found baking up delicious sweets in her kitchen. Her family back in New York sure does miss all those cookies!
The 2018-2019 school year will be a fun, exciting and memorable year! Ms. Veltz values consistent and positive communication between home and school in order to further student progress. Please feel free to contact her at Kristen.Veltz@lcps.org with any questions or concerns that you may have.
