Here is a list of the Word Wall Words we are planning to work with the first nine weeks of school. Please practice these words with your child at home on a regular basis. Here are some suggestions:
* You may write them on index cards and use them as flash cards.
* Have your child practice handwriting by writing the words on lined paper.
* Practice writing the words on a dry-erase board.
* Group the words according to similarities.
* Use the words to build a sentence.
* Think of a rhyming word for the sight word.
* Mix the letters up in the word and see if your child can unscrammble it.
* Write the word on a dry erase board and leave out a letter or two. Then have your child fill in the missing letter to make a work.
