African-American History Writing Project
Every February, your 4th grader will participate in an in-school research project. This is designed to work on the following academic skills:
1. Research using text and media resources
2. Using pre-writing tools to organize writing
3. Writing multiple paragraphs on a single topic
4. Revising and editing written work
5. Citing sources of information from text, the Internet and other media sources
