Welcome to Room One! My name is Mary Waldman and I have taught for 26 years. I attended Radford University where I got my bachelors and masters in education. I earned my early childhood teaching degree in grades K-4 and a teaching degree in special education for grades K-12. I helped open Creighton's Corner 11 years ago and I was the only kindergarten teacher the first year we opened. Before coming to kindergarten, I taught middle school for six years in Frederick County (VA). I have two daughters and two dogs. Lexy just graduated from college in May and started her nursing job in July. Hannah is a junior at Woodgrove high school in Loudoun County. It's hard to believe I have one child that is now working full time and a second child that is now driving herself around. My husband also works for Loudoun County Public Schools. We enjoy going for rides in his jeep, hockey games (go CAPS), and watching the Redskins play. I am excited to help your child grow this year! Go Colts!Hi! My name is Lilly Marion and this is my first year as a kindergarten assistant. I earned my early childhood degree at James Madison University and then taught first grade for five years in Manassas Park City Schools. I took a break from teaching in the classroom to rasie my daughter Chloe, who is now a freshman at Indpendence High School, and my son Brady who is a sixth grader at Brambleton Middle School (wow, time flies). I have had the pleasure of substitute teaching at CCE for the last five years and most of it has been in Kindergarten. When I am not wearing my teacher hat, I can be found watching my daugther cheer and my son play baseball. I like to exercise, read, and cheer for the Redskins. I am really looking forward to working with all of our new Colts in room 1!
