The Hispanic Outreach is a program aimed at the Hispanic students of Broad Run High School, designed to help those students academically and socially. Members of the Broad Run staff provide tutoring. Students meet for two hours two days a week after school to receive help with any subject. During this time, students also have access to computers in the Media Center for work on school related projects.
Students are required to sign a contract, which allow the tutors to check up on the students - their classes, teachers, behavior, and to mentor them throughout the academic year. The first year of the Hispanic Outreach was a success - as evidenced by improved report cards - and we anticipate the upcoming year to be even better!
