Welcome Back Arcola Families!
I hope that you had a great summer break and are excited to start the new school year! The PTA Board has been busy planning some awesome events for this school year, including Arcola Family Picnic, Fall Festival, Dragon Dash Fun Run, Winter Wonderland Vendor & Craft Fair, Glow Dance, and our most popular event, Spring Basket Raffle and Bingo Night.
Attending these events is a great way to have fun, engage with others in our community and help the PTA raise funds that are used toward assemblies, classroom supplies, school support and educational programs for our students, teachers and staff. They also help fund various Student Clubs and Staff Appreciation Week activities.
I invite you to join the PTA. With your participation as a member of the PTA, the PTA can fulfill its mission to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. PTA memberships are good for one year, so if you joined last year, please join again! Memberships are $10 per person and $15 per family. Information on how to sign up for membership will be available at Back to School Night and Open House, as well as on our website.
Be sure to keep up to date with all of Arcola’s PTA happenings by attending our General PTA meetings, viewing the PTA e-Blast emails, visiting the PTA website and “liking” us on Facebook. Check out our schedule of events and mark your calendars for the whole school year. You can even sync your calendar to the PTA calendar!
As always, we can plan fun events and activities, but volunteers are what makes them successful! Please consider volunteering for an event committee or at an event – even just one hour of your time makes a huge difference!
