    Advisory Committee For Gifted Education

Loudoun County sponsors and Advisory Committee for Gifted Education. Meetings are held monthly and are open to the public.
The committee serves as a support group to review and make suggestions about gifted programs and to promote community awareness of gifted education. School personnel, community members and parents are selected to serve on the committee. Every effort is made to have broad based group committee members from all high school attendance areas.

The committee provides an annual report and serves in an advisory capacity to the Division Superintendent of Schools and reports annually to him. The meetings are a time to discuss and review the overall program, not individual students or concerns. The committee assists in develping the local plan, as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia, for the education of gifted students, and the annual program evaluation.
