Welcome back to the 2017-2018 school year.   I am thrilled to be teaching second grade at Aldie Elementary School! Aldie is a very special place, and I am so grateful to be a part of it.

This will be my eleventh year of teaching. I have taught grades K, 1 and 2 in New York, Georgia and now Virginia.  I graduated from SUNY Empire State College with a Bachelor’s degree in English. I earned a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Dowling College. My Education Specialist degree is from the University of Georgia in Reading Education.

My goal is to create a classroom environment where students are challenged to grow as thinkers and learners and where each student is comfortable and confident to be their best and do their best.   I want to instill in each student a lifelong love for learning.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my four children and my dogs. I love to travel and capture new things through my camera lens. I love the beach, the mountains and Maryland football. GO Terps.
