• My name is Marie Kazmierczak (Mrs. K). I'm excited to be the full time Speech Language Pathologist at Sugarland again this year. While I am originally from Michigan I have been living in Sterling, Virginia for over 20 years. My husband Art and I have three daughters Jillian, Brooke and Jacqui. Two of our girls are Hokie's and currently attending Virginia Tech. One is an Undergrad and one is in Vet School. Our other daughter is attending Shenandoah Universty for Graduate school and is studying to be an Occupational Therapist. Four other important members of our family are our dachshund Pepper, our beagle Winnie and our two cats Rosie and Luna. Winnie and Luna also went to college this year, as they are currently living in Blacksburg with our daughters!

In 1989 and 1990 I received my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Speech Language Pathology from Marquette University in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I started my career working with adults in hospitals, rehabilitation units and skilled nursing facilities. After having my girls and moving to Virginia I became a stay at home Mom for several years. In 2006 I started working for Loudoun County public schools. I have worked with many different elementary and preschool students since that time and I look forward to working with the students of Sugarland again this year! I can be reached at marie.kazmierczak@lcps.org.
