    At Sterling Elementary School, teachers and students are fortunate to have access to a large amount of advanced technology resources to support their teaching and learning.  Each child in grades 3-5 has their own Chromebook to use at school and home. Each K-2 classroom is equipped with a document camera, 5 chromebooks, and at least 20 iPads for the students to use as well as an Apple TV. Each classroom also has a deskjet printer and a Promethean Interactive Whiteboard.
     
    In addition to the classroom resources, grade levels also share the following devices:
    • K-2 classrooms share 3 laptop carts (30 laptops per cart)
    • 3-5 clasrooms share 2 iPad carts per grade level (each cart holds at least 20 iPads)
    • 1 ActiVote set
    In addition to the grade level resources, classes can also check out the following to integrate with their instruction:
    • Digital Cameras and video cameras
    • hp stream devices
    • iPod touches
    • Go Pro Camera
    • Alphasmarts
    • Microphones
    • Activslates

    Finally, all students and teachers have access to our STEAM lab / Makerspace.  Classes can sign up to come down and work on projects involving video production with a green screen, coding and digital content creation, as well as hands-on exploration, design, and engineering! There are a variety of resources at their disposal in this space such as basic art supplies, a variety of reusable construction materials, a variety of robots, and a 3D printer! Teachers also have access to color Laserjet printers, scanners, and a poster printer in this space.
