Department: Science-
Why Biology?Biology is the study of life and living things. This includes an incredible variety of forms or types which will amaze you. Of course, you will learn more about yourself and other humans as an important part of this study. We will learn by discussion, reading, answering questions, viewing videos, laboratory experiments, making models, doing drawings, using technology, and other media. You will be expected to observe carefully, look for similarities and differences, analyze data, propose explanations ( hypotheses ), test these hypotheses, and communicate your results effectively. We will study and practice good design of experiments. As we do experiments in the class, it will be very important that you follow correct procedures and use proper safety techniques to get good results. Our theme in class will be a positive attitude toward all aspects in class.
