• Ms. Thacker

Hi!  My name is Amy Thacker.  I am very excited to be entering my fourteenth year as a teacher at Hutchison Farm Elementary.  My teaching experience includes junior kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and reading resource (grades 3rd - 5th).  I have
taught twenty-one years in Loudoun and eleven years in Prince William County.  I earned a BS in Elementary Education from Longwood University and a MA in Reading from George Mason University.
I'm very proud of my three daughters!  My oldest earned a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandizing and is a stylist in Los Angeles.  My middle child earned an undergraduate degree from George Mason University and a Nursing degree from Shennandoa University.  She is currently working at UVA Hospital in the Surgical Care Unit.  My youngest daughter is following in her footsteps by pursuing a degree in Nursing.  In my free time, I enjoy being with family and friends, horseback riding, attending concerts, running, reading, drawing, and  singing in my church praise band.
My goal is to utilize my knowledge and experience to instruct my students, while  encouraging them to be life-long learners and responsible citizens!
