• Ms. Simmers About Ms. Simmers
    Terrie Simmers has been teaching for 14 years.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marymount University in Parks and Recreation Administration and Graduate Level Courses for Initial Teacher Licensure in Special Education from the University of Virginia. She is currently completing her Masters in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis through George Mason University. Terrie is a career switcher, having spent 20 years in various position in the Parks and Recreation field.


    This is her 14th year in Loudoun County as a Special Education Resource Teacher, and her 7th year at Hamilton Elementary. Prior to coming to Hamilton, she worked at Mountain View and Banneker Elementary.

    In her free time she enjoys camping, hiking, gardening and spending time with her family. She lives in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia with her husband Frank, her daughter Kelsey, her Golden Retriever, Maggie and Miniature Dachshund, Rudy.
