Special Library ProgramsBirthday Books Program provides an opportunity for students and teachers to sponsor a new book to be added to the collection. These special books are marked with bookplates giving recognition to the recipient's name and birthday. The Birthday Books Program runs during the month of April. The Golden Shelf Award is given each week to one class from PreK-2 and one class from Grades 3-5. Every week during our library classes, Skeeter, our shelf elf, will watch each class to see if they are using excellent FHR Library Manners. Then on Friday afternoon, Mrs. Ceppi and Skeeter will meet to decide which classes had the best library manners that week. The winning classes will be announced on the "Library News" on RTV every Thursday morning. The Golden Shelf Award winners will then get to PROUDLY display the Golden Shelf Award trophies and certificates in their classrooms all week.
