My name is Patty Griffith.  This is my 30th year as an educator!  I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 1989 with a dual B.A. in Elementary and Special Education.  This year marks my 24th year with Loudoun County Public Schools.  I am proud to say that I was a charter member of Evergreen Mill as both an educator and parent!  I have worked at Cool Spring Elementary and Creighton's Corner Elementary as well.  My varied background includes five years as a special education resource teacher, three years as a preschool teacher, and twenty-three years as an elementary teacher in Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. I absolutely love to read!  Some of my favorite authors include Eric Carle, Cynthia Rylant, Mo Willems, Lauren Child, and Kevin Henkes.

Our family lived in Leesburg for 23 years.  In fact, our children are Evergreen Mill alumni!  Almost six years ago, my husband and I moved to Berryville,VA. Our daughter (Mallory) lives in Winchester, VA with her husband (Michael), our granddaughter (Reagan), and granddog (Sampson). We are excited to welcome our second grandchild in February! Our son (Sam) lives in Marshall, VA and is the proud parent of our other granddog, (Scarlet). Can you tell we are a dog-loving family? In fact, we adopted a funny little dachshund mix (Coco) just prior to the pandemic.  We have enjoyed lots of family time with the new baby, gardening, and hiking this summer!

Looking forward to an awesome school year! Kindergarten will be a WILD Adventure! Dare to explore!
