To our PTA members and business partners:
Thank you so much for your support of the students, staff, and families of Dominion Trail Elementary School and the PTA during the 2016-2017 school year.
Together we visited an indoor planetarium, made music with Brent Daniels, gave out over 700 brand new books, boogied the night away at Monster Mash with DJ Sun, watched new movies, visited with the Chick Fil A Cow, dished out 650 popsicles, collected over 10,000 Box Tops, and this is just the tip of the iceberg! We had an incredible time at all of our events and can't thank you enough for your support in volunteering, donating, or attending each one!
This year alone we were able to give over $3000 back to the school for class field trips, $4000 for cultural arts assemblies, $1400 in new materials for the Science Expo, $4000 for classroom expense reimbursement, $7000 for classroom subscriptions, $4000 back to the teachers and staff in the form of PTA funded grants, and about $900 in brand new books for each child to take home to read over the summer. This is just a small sample of the money we both raised and spent on our school community.
It has truly been an honor and privilege serving as your PTA President this past year and I hope next year will be just as exciting, fun, and filled with success.
To the other members of our PTA Executive Board; Michelle Plush, Veronica Sholin, and Kirsten Bates, thank you for your tremendous sacrifice, hard work, and commitment to the PTA, and DTES Community. You all have made this an incredible experience and I look forward to continuing to serve with you all next year!
To the fabulous ladies in the front office and all the teachers and staff who have gone above and beyond to make sure the PTA is supported and included THANK YOU! We truly appreciate everything you do and all the ways you help us out. I know you don't have to do it- but I am so glad you do :)
To our parents, students, community partners, and families thank you for all of your support. Whether it is joining the PTA, attending an event, volunteering an hour of your time, or donating an item or money- THANK YOU SO MUCH. None of this would be possible without you. I sincerely hope, next year we will see your bright smiling faces attending meetings and becoming more active. We always welcome new ideas, suggestions, and volunteers.
