A Word from our PTA President!
Dear Husky Parents!
My name is Jeannie Ahlberg and I have the privilege of serving as your PTA President for the 2018-19 school year. The PTA is a partnership between parents and teachers -- making Dominion Trail the best learning environment possible. Every year we strive to make the PTA stronger than the year before.
This year we will have three key areas of focus:
Increasing PTA membership – We need help from all our parents and teachers to continue providing family events and raising funds to support important school needs such as field trips, Reflex Math, and after school programs. By becoming a PTA member, parents can participate in the decisions effecting our school. To get started, please join the “DTES Community” page on Facebook. PTA membership helps drive many functions at the school and costs less than $.03 a day. PTA membership now gives you exclusive access to discounts at several local businesses.
Fostering parent and teacher involvement – At Dominion Trail we are more than just a school, we are a community. Each parent and teacher is a valuable contributor to our children’s education. Through PTA you are a welcome part of your child's school experience. As your child makes friends throughout the year, you will too!
Communication – The PTA will work with school administration to keep parents up- to-date on upcoming events and important school information. Event and volunteer information will be posted on the “DTES Community” FB group and communicated regularly through weekly emails.
Mr. Joseph, the PTA board, and I are excited to get this year underway. Come join the fun and get involved with the PTA!
