I completed my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Old Dominion University. I live in Ashburn with my husband. I have three grown children and one grandson. This will be my 11th year at Belmont Station, and I’m very happy to be part of this wonderful second grade team.
I believe I was born a teacher. For most of my life I have found myself teaching someone something! Once I found my way into the classroom, I’m convinced that I found my lifelong passion: teaching children. I am a long-time resident of Belmont Greene (21 years!). I graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Elementary Education and am proud to call Belmont Station Elementary my professional home. I am married to my high school sweetheart from Oakton High and together we have four fabulous and complex children: Hannah, Abby, Mary Kate and Cole. My entire extended family live in the Ashburn area. I love small town living. In my not so spare time, I love to catch up with friends, watch my kids play hours of volleyball, football, and basketball, bike with my husband, and cook.
This is my 14th year teaching 2nd grade in Loudoun County and I am loving being a part of the Belmont Station Elementary family. I graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Minor in Reading. I later earned my Master’s Degree in Special Education. I strive to make sure that I look at each student as a unique individual with specific strengths and talents that need to be fostered. I grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania where I enjoyed riding horses, playing the piano, and exploring the surrounding forests with my siblings. In my spare time I enjoy movies, painting, baking, and traveling to new places.Julie MolthenI grew up in Vienna, Virginia and graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Elementary Education and English.
