• Meet Your Teachers!

I am looking forward to my second year of teaching at Belmont Station Elementary School. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Penn State in 2018. Throughout my senior year, I participated in the Professional Development School Program. This program provided me with the opportunity to complete a full year internship in a kindergarten classroom. In 2019, I received my Master’s Degree in Special Education at Penn State. I pursued this degree in order to best meet the needs of all students in my classroom. During this time, I was placed in a Learning, Emotional and Autistic Support classroom with students ranging from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.

I grew up in Ridgewood, New Jersey. In addition to teaching, working with children at summer camp has been a huge passion of mine. I have worked at Ramapo Country Day Camp for the past five summers as a counselor to campers heading into First Grade. When I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family and friends, as well as cheering on Penn State football.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with your child and partner with you to promote their academic and social growth. I’m looking forward to a year filled with lots of learning and smiles.

I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!!!).  I moved south to attend Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!!!) where I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees.  This is my 24th year teaching in Loudoun County.  I spent 10 happy years teaching 1st and 2nd grade before becoming a reading specialist.  I was thrilled to return to the classroom as a kindergarten teacher at Belmont Station and have loved every minute.  In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and 13 year old daughter at the beach, visiting family, at Nationals games, or just in our backyard around the fire.  And, of course, we love playing with our very sweet, and slightly naughty, dog.  You also might find me doing yoga, walking my slightly naughty dog, watching sports, reading, or taking pictures.
I can't wait to get to know you and your families while I spend this exciting year with your kindergartner.

Welcome to Kindergarten, I look forward to meeting you! I grew up on the East Coast of Canada and moved to Ashburn over 10 years ago. Belmont Station is a home away from home and it's an honour to call the staff, students, and parents my extended family. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology from Mt. St Vincent University, which then lead me to become a pharmacy technician, hospitality coordinator, recreation director and then educator. My biggest accomplishment of course is my family. My husband Paul (who currently works in Australia) and our 4 children (Anthony, Mark, Lindsay, and Nolan) are actively involved in hockey, soccer, golf, cheer, lacrosse, and we love to travel!  You can always find me cheering on my Pittsburgh Penguins. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Station.
