Ms. Howe-Freeman, Teacher-Librarian

Ms. Howe-Freeman LOVES to read and has ever since her daddy read "The Hobbit" to her as a child.  Prior to becoming a Teacher-Librarian, Ms. Howe-Freeman was a Reading Specialist and a Teacher of kids in grades K-12 for a number of years...too many to make mention of!  She has always been an avid reader so this job is perfect!  She sometimes wonders if Mrs. Walthour and Mrs. Simons realize what they have unleashed in their library.  Hmm, hopefully not...in the meantime, we intend on sharing books and having fun!

Ms. Howe-Freeman was a military brat as a child so she is no stranger to the wider world.  She resides in Sterling in her lovely cottage with her hubby, Sam (he's an Art teacher in Fairfax) and her two handsome boys, Tristan (a student at Northern Virginia Community College) and Phillip (a 5th grader).  They are an avid Scouting family so they often go hiking and backpacking on the weekends or you can catch them at home playing strategy board games or watching the latest episode of Star Wars. Come by the library anytime and say "Hello"!

    Mrs. McRorie, Library Assistant

Mrs. McRorie is our library assistant.  She checks out books to students and helps everyone to find things in the library.  She is very excited about helping all Ashburn students to use ourbeautiful library.  Her goal is to learn the name of every student at Ashburn (she's getting pretty close!).
