• Mr. Garey

Mr. Garey grew up on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay (Northampton County). There he learned to appreciate the importance of building close, meaningful relationships, how to appreciate and protect the environment, and the value of maximizing your educational opportunities.

Mr. Garey studied Environmental Science at the University of Virginia ('04) and entered LCPS as a career switcher in 2006. He taught Earth Science at Potomac Falls HS, John Champe HS, and Willard Intermediate School. He served as Science Department Chair at Champe and Willard, and was also a part of multiple school leadership teams including Personalized Learning and PBIS. He has his Masters in Educational Administration from Shenandoah University.

Mr. Garey lives in Loudoun County with his wife Lindsay, two daughters (Charlotte, 11 & Juliette 10), dog Sagan, and cat Keebler. Some of his favorite things include salt water (beach), reading, exercising, bird watching Washington sports, conducting science experiments, and enjoying the small things in life with his family.

He is excited to start his new journey as the 6th grade Dean at Stone Hill Middle School along with all of the new incoming families for the 2019-2020 school year.
