• Activities and Field Trips

Previous activities of the Engineering Club include participation in the TARC (Team America Rocket Challenge). The students designed a rocket to take a payload of a raw egg to a height of less than 1000 feet (this value is decided by the TARC and changes every year) and within some time (also decided by TARC) of 40 to 60 seconds. The challenge is in designing the rocket shape, the aerodynamics, the engine thrust taking into account the overall weight of the rocket and payload, design for cushioning the egg in such a way that it returns safely. A successful trial is one that meets with all specifications. When students qualify for this they go to the final round of competition between various schools and clubs in U.S.A.

We hope with active participation and enthusiasm we will be able to do something as adventurous or even more fun than the TARC
