• Welcome...

I'm guessing that since you're here, you either accidentally clicked on the wrong link or you're really bored. If it happens to be the latter, feel free to keep reading. If it's the former, you still must be pretty bored if you're checking out the Staff page on the school website....go outside and do something productive!!

2019 will mark the beginning of my sixteenth year of teaching social studies at Potomac Falls, and my eleventh and final year as the Social Science department chair. In that time I've taught both freshmen and sophomore World History, senior U.S. Government, Post-World War II American history, AP World, and Semester Economics.  This year I will be exclusively teaching sophomore World 2.  I'm also continuing as the sponsor of Plastic Symphony and Ultimate Frisbee clubs.

I came to Loudoun County by way of Warrenville, IL (a Chicago suburb), and Valparaiso, IN (pretty much a Chicago suburb), where I received a BA in both History and Secondary Education with a minor in Geography at Valparaiso University. I received a Master's degree in Education from George Mason in 2010 and achieved National Board certification in 2011.

I also married the love of my life in 2011, and together we spend our free time traveling, discovering great food, and enjoying our 2 dogs and the old farmhouse that we just moved into in Purcellville.

For those of you that were bored...I hope this helped.
