Ms. Westrick

I have over 20 years of professional experience working closely with children, youth, adults, and families through the delivery of private & public-school teaching & counseling programs/services, local county social & human services with a specialty in independent living and workforce readiness skills, and Montessori skilled caregiving, guiding, and educating, focusing on the whole child (social/emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being).  It is my privilege and honor to be in the role of School Counselor with Sterling Elementary guiding and growing the learning & hearts of our children. Each of us possess given gifts, talents & strengths and are an essential piece (with equal value, meaning & purpose) of the puzzle of life, unifying our community as a whole.

My professional background includes a Master’s of Education in School Counseling, Pre-K through 12 (Virginia Tech), National Certified Counselor (NCC) of the National Board for Certified Counselors, Early Childhood (Primary) Teacher, Full Certification program through The Center for Guided Montessori Studies/International Montessori Council, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work (Slippery Rock University).
