• The Health and Medical Sciences (HAMSci) Academy is a new program for the rising 9th grade class for the 24-25 SY. HAMSci is designed to expand learning opportunities for students in health science literacy through a curriculum centered on deeper learning that develops critical skills and competencies geared toward the healthcare field. This specialized curriculum paired with industry credentials and work-based learning experiences prepares students for in-demand highly skilled healthcare workforce careers.

    How to Apply:

Current 8th grade students will use the Student Opportunities System, located in LCPS GO, to submit their interest in the program. The interest window is open from Dec.1 to Jan. 31 for currently enrolled 8th-grade students interested in this program. The system will close on January 31st. Students who show interest in this program will be placed in a lottery and will be notified if they are selected in March. Students admitted from Smart's Mill will continue their 9th grade year at Tuscarora High School.
