Mrs. Colleen Savage

Colleen Savage is excited to be the librarian for the Honeybees! She comes to Hovatter after being the itinerant librarian for Goshen Post and Buffalo Trail for the past two years. Prior to being a librarian in Loudoun, she was a middle school English teacher in Fairfax County for 13 years (the majority of those years with 8th graders). She graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in English, obtained her Master’s from George Mason in curriculum and instruction, and completed her school librarianship endorsement from Longwood University. As a librarian, her goal is to promote lifelong learning by creating and supporting an environment where students are provided with opportunities to create, inquire, explore, discover, and, of course, read!
