Mrs. Lute

Hello Aldie Bobcats!

My name is Kelsie Lute, and I am the School Social Worker for both Hutchison Farm Elementary School and Aldie Elementary Schools for the 2023-2024 school year. This will be my third year at Aldie, and first at HFES. I, too, was an Aldie Bobcat for elementary school!

I grew up in Middleburg, VA on a dairy farm until my family’s move to Pennsylvania, where I lived for over 20 years. We recently moved back to the area and now continue farming beef cows with my family. I attended college near Harrisburg, PA at Messiah College (now known as Messiah University), where I earned my B.S.W. in Social Work and B.A. in English. I received my M.S.W. with a concentration in Management & Planning Social Work at Temple University in Harrisburg, PA. I have worked in many different social work settings including housing, family-based mental health, and systems planning. In my spare time, I enjoy playing board games with my husband, snuggling with my cats, reading, and crocheting.

As a School Social Worker, I collaborate closely with our Unified Mental Health Team (school counselors, school social workers, and school psychologists) to ensure that students’ mental health needs are met to optimize their learning environment. I also complete socio-cultural assessments with parents who have students being referred for special education eligibility. Additionally, I work with students in group or individual settings to address their needs regarding social skills, emotional regulation, resiliency, anger management, and more.  I use evidence-based curriculum in my work with students.  I am also available to assist parents with any needed resources or questions.  Please feel free to reach out at any time!  My contact information is:
