Welcome Back Lions! 

I have been at Lunsford since it opened and have worked in a variety of positions here at the school. Prior to being at Lunsford I taught special education in Fairfax County for 9 years.  I was born and raised in Fairfax County and attended West Springfield High School.  I have my undergraduate degree in special education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. After I moved back to Northern Virginia and started my teaching career I also attended George Mason University where I recieved my masters in New Professional Studies: Teaching. After teaching students with autism for a number of years I went back to school again and received a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. I also have received my administration certification at Shenandoah University. I have taught special education for 16 years including students with a variety of disabilities and at different levels of support. Prior to becoming a dean at Lunsford I was the special education department chair here at Lunsford.
