I am so excited about my role as a Learning Specialist this year at Willard Middle School.  I will be working with 7th grade Foundations of Algebra and 7th grade Science.  This is my first year at Willard, but my 27th in Education.  I am looking forward to an amazing year!

I attended George Mason University where I received my Masters in Special Education. I was immediately hired by Fairfax County, where I continued my journey for 26 years.  I started my career at a middle school special education center that serviced the entire county.  (Shoot out to my mentors at Burke Center!)  Next, I joined the Assistive Technology team in Fairfax County. After that, I taught high school math at Chantilly High School.  Then, I became a School Based Technology Specialist for an elementary school in Reston, VA.  Lastly, I am a Learning Specialist at Willard Middle School, where I have the opportunity to work with amazing students and staff every day.

I am a people person and an animal lover!  Both have taught me patience and kindness.  In my free time, I enjoy being outside with family and friends.  My favorite outdoor activies are listening to live music and being on the water.  Although I consider myself a summer person, I am looking forward to the cooler weather and more outdoor time.
