Ms. Vagnoni

My name is Leah Vagnoni and I am so excited to join Lion Nation this year!

I graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia in May 2017. I completed a five-year Masters program and received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies and a Master of Arts in Teaching. I have taught 4th grade in LCPS at Frederick Douglass Elementary School for the past six years. I am looking forward to teaching second grade this year and working with a new grade level.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love to explore Washington, D.C. on the weekends and find new restaurants and activities in the city. I also enjoy taking care of my plants, wandering the aisles of local bookstores, shopping at Target, and drinking iced coffee all year round.

I have a passion for teaching and want to help every student develop a love for learning. I want all children to feel a sense of comfort, love, and safety when they walk into our classroom. I am looking forward to building relationships with my second grade students, families, and colleagues at Cedar Lane! It is my goal to help students learn the strategies they need to make meaningful contributions to the world.

Communication between home and school is very important to me! Please don't hesistate to contact me at leah.vagnoni@lcps.org if you have any questions or concerns.
