Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Amanda Noyd

My name is Amanda Noyd, and I am a 2nd grade teacher here at Cool Spring Elementary. This is my 12th year in LCPS and will be my first year teaching 2nd grade! I was previously a 3rd grade teacher for ten years and a special education teacher prior to that. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education. I was voted "Favorite Teacher" by Best of Loudoun and also received the Loudoun 100 recognition.  I'm very excited to join the 2nd grade team and can't wait to teach 2nd grade!

My teaching hero is Ms. Frizzle and my teaching motto is "Take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!" I am looking forward to hopping on our Magic School Bus & bringing learning to life with many hands on experiences & adventures.

I am from Kentucky and have traveled and lived all over the United States . I have five children  (aged 24, 23, 19, 18, and 17)  and two dogs, Wolfgang & Toby. I enjoy traveling to visit my adult children on the west coast, watching our son play football for Tuscarora, and exploring the outdoors on the weekends with our pups.

Check out my class Twitter @noydsnest and follow me to see what we are learning each week! Please feel free to email me at

I look forward to meeting my new 2nd graders and having a year full of growing & learning!
