Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Mills

This marks my 15th year in the field of education, and I am thrilled to embark on my seventh year teaching the subject I am most passionate about—READING!

My roots trace back to Western New York, proudly cheering for the Buffalo Bills (GO BILLS!). I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education/Special Education and a graduate degree in Childhood Literacy from St. Bonaventure University. Initially, I kicked off my teaching journey in South Florida, fleeing the icy winters. After four years of teaching 3rd grade, I decided to relocate closer to New York, all the while attempting to avoid the snow, ultimately settling here in Loudoun. In 2016, my husband and I made Lovettsville our home, reveling in the joy of raising our two children, Clara (6) and Charlie (4). You'll often find us exploring the town on our bikes or enjoying the daily routine at the local playground.

I anticipate collaborating with students and families as we continue our collective journey of growth as a community of avid readers.
