  • Career and Technical Education at Heritage falls into 4 main categories. Each offer challenging experiences that offer students an opportunity to experience career paths that they might consider pursing in the future. These include: 

    • Business and Information Technology
    • Family and Consumer Sciences
    • Marketing Education
    • Technology Education

    Each career cluster is aligned with a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) and a list of Industry Credentialed Exams.

    Business and Information Technology - Recommended Pathways

    Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is the career and technical student organization for all individuals enrolled in business courses.  The activities of FBLA are an integral part of the business program and are designed to enhance the business course offerings. IT courses provide students with hands-on practical computer knowledge that reflect real-world scenarios, and put to use skills industry leaders require for today's highly technical business world.

    Family and Consumer Sciences - Recommended Pathways

    Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is the career and technical student organization for all individuals enrolled in FACS courses. Their mission is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education.

    Marketing Education - Recommended Pathways

    All Marketing Education students may join DECA, an association of Marketing students that promotes leadership development, civic consciousness, social intelligence, and vocational understanding.  DECA is organized on local, state, and national levels to provide incentives and recognition through activities, competitions, and even scholarship opportunities.  DECA is co-curricular and is an integral part of each Marketing Education course.

    Technology Education - Recommended Pathways

    Technology Education offers a wide selection of courses that range from the introductory/exploratory to practical real-work skill-producing courses required for today's industrial/technological workplace. Our state-of-the art workshops combined with technical teaching offer our students the best of both training and education.
