• 2024 AP Late Testing Information/Guidelines

The College Board offers a Late Testing window to students for the following reasons:

    • School sponsored Athletic or Academic event that the student is participating in

    • Disabilities accommodation issue

    • Serious injury

    • Student illness, to include illness on the day of testing (late testing will not be approved without a doctor note)

    • Family tragedy

    • Religious/holiday observance

    • School closing: election, national holiday, natural disaster

    • Student’s High School Graduation

    • Two AP exams scheduled on the same date and time

All requests for Late Testing must be directed to your school’s Testing Coordinator for approval no later than April 15, 2024 by 4:30 PM. Requests received after this date and time may not be accepted.

If a request for late testing is approved, the Testing Coordinator will place an order for the alternate exam and the College Board may assess the student a $40 fee, per test.  Your student must test on the scheduled day at the scheduled time. Students will not be approved for Late Testing for family trips/vacations, athletic/extracurricular events that are not sponsored by LCPS, conflict with an in-class activity or assessment, failure to attend the exam, or having selected an incorrect AP exam subject when submitting your exam registration.

In the event of student illness or emergency on the day of testing, please notify your school’s Testing Coordinator within 24 hours to request Late Testing.
