Dr. Kimberly Jackson - Assistant Principal

Dr J
  • Dr. Kimberly Jackson is in her 18th year as an educator in Loudoun County Public Schools, and her second as a Lightridge Bolt! Her teaching career began at Farmwell Station Middle School as a math teacher and subject area lead teacher, and continued at Broad Run High School and Riverside High School. Dr. Jackson has been a Dean at Blue Ridge Middle School, Summer School Principal, an online math teacher with Virtual Loudoun, and an Equity Lead. Prior to teaching, she held various positions in the pharmaceutical industry in Pittsburgh, Phoenix, Atlanta, Baltimore, and Chicago before settling in the Washington DC area. Her collegiate alma maters are Indiana University of Pennsylvania (BS in Food Science and Chemistry), the University of Pittsburgh (Master's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Health Administration), and Shenandoah University (Educational Leadership). Seeing potential in all students (and helping them see it too) is Dr. Jackson's favorite part of being an educator.

When she's not supporting students at Lightridge, Dr. Jackson enjoys traveling, fitness, all puzzles, and reading, especially about cultures other than her own. She also enjoys fostering dogs and lives with her own two foster-fail pups. She has three grown children who are all proud graduates of Loudoun County Public Schools, as well as the University of Virginia, George Washington University, Shenandoah University, and Florida International University. Dr. Jackson is very happy to help light the way for our Bolts!
