The Arcola Elementary School Chorus
The Arcola Elementary School Chorus is an award-winning two-part vocal ensemble comprised of singers in 4th & 5th grades. We perform unison, 2-part, & 3-part vocal literature from various styles, genres, eras, and languages, all for treble voices. We have our annual winter and spring concerts at Arcola Elementary, and we also travel to local community events, performing at the National Christmas Tree, National Zoolights, Veterans Honor Flights, Washington Wizards basketball game, Nationals baseball game, George Mason University basketball game, Gum Springs Library, Stone Springs Hospital, John Champe High School basketball & football games.
The Arcola Elementary School Chorus is voluntary, open to ALL singers in 4th & 5th grades with a love of singing and learning to sing in a choral ensemble. Rehearsals are during the school day, with 5th graders practicing from 8:30-8:50 am on Tuesday mornings and 4th graders practicing from 8:30-8:50 am on Thursday mornings.
The Arcola Elementary School Chorus strives to instill a love of singing and to foster the talents we are given to make beautiful music together. While we enjoy sharing our love of singing with the community, field trips are completely optional. The only requirements are our school concerts, which are Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 6:30 pm and Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 6:30 pm.
