Welcome CRE Military Families!
Virginia is home to families of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, Space Force, National Guard and Reserves. LCPS is proud to recognize the sacrifices that our military students make in helping keep our country safe.
As a way to continuously support military families across the division, LCPS has a designated staff member at each school to serve as a contact for military families and to coordinate special events such as Purple Up Day and Month of the Military Child.
Cardinal Ridge Elementary School and Loudoun County Public Schools welcome military families and their students. We are committed to ongoing support with a greater understanding and recognition of the unique attributes of our military-connected students. We also look forward to collaborative communication with the parents and families of our scholars Learn more about how LCPS supports our Military community.

Military Connected Status
Identification of newly-enrolled uniformed services-connected students (Military Connection) is a new requirement based on legislation passed by the Virginia General Assembly in 2015 (HB 2373 and SB 1354). While the legislation requires data collection for only newly-enrolled students, the Department of Education is encouraging school districts to collect this data for all students. This data, which does not identify individual students, is reported annually to the state.
