What is it and why does my child take it?

The Virginia Fall Growth Assessment is a state-mandated assessment measuring student growth throughout the school year in Reading and Math.  It is aligned with VA standards of learning.

What do I need to know?

Grades 3-5 take reading and mathematics growth assessments in the fall and in the winter. They will focus primarily on content from the student’s current grade level. Please visit the VDOE website for more information.

How will I receive the results?

VGA results are shared on ParentVUE after the testing window for the state has closed.  You can find out more about how to interpret that report here.
