Mrs. Hallman

Welcome to second grade at Aldie Elementary School. My name is Mrs. Hallman and I am very excited to be your teacher this year. This will be my eighth year teaching in Loudoun County. I have taught first, fifth and second grade. This will be my fifth year teaching second grade. Second grade is such a fun year and I look forward to getting to know you and your family this coming school year.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married and have four children. Our oldest child is going into sixth grade this year and is very excited to be a middle schooler. He is a great older brother to our younger children. My daughter, Amelia, is two and very feisty. She has to make sure to keep her brothers in line. My son, Ren, is one and he is a Christmas Eve baby. He loves to play with his siblings. We are also expecting a new addition to our family in July, another little boy to be named Kipton Nash. We love to be outside doing anything as a family. We love to go to the park, zoo, celebrations and pumpkin patches in the fall. Amelia also does dance and gymnastics so we spend a lot of time at those events.

In second grade, we learn so many fun things. We will explore the world of phonics and become better readers and writers. We will also learn about being a scientist, animals, plants, weather, life a long time ago, famous historians and economics. We will do projects, experiments and go on field trips. Please check the Aldie Elementary School website and the second grade page for more information about the curriculum, current events, and my contact information.

I look forward to seeing you soon and having a great year.  Please contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas about the upcoming school year. This is going to be a fantastic year!  See you on August 23rd for Open House!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Hallman
