How can students track testing requirements for graduation?

  • For the Advanced Studies and the Standard Diploma, all students must earn a total of 5 verified credits in the following categories:

    • 1 History verified credit
    • 1 Math verified credit
    • 1 Science verified credit
    • 1 Reading verified credit
    • 1 Writing verified credit

    A total of 5 verified credits is required for both the Advanced Studies and Standard diploma.  

    All students need to complete CPR/First Aid certification.  

    All students are required to take an AP, IB, DE, or honors course, OR earn a CTE credential, such as the W!SE Financial LIteracy Certification or Workplace Readiness exam.  This requirement is for students pursuing both Advanced Studies and Standard diplomas.

    A verified credit means that a student has passes a course and its associated SOL test. 

    How can I find out how many verified credits my student has?

    Students can look in StudentVue to track graduation requirements in the "test history" tab.  

    Which courses have an associated SOL test?

    Math: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2

    Science: Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry

    Social Science: World History 1, World History 2, USVA History

    Reading and Writing: 11th grade English courses
