Mrs. Nicole Hoopingarner
It is an honor to serve the Wildcat community as Assistant Principal! I hope you were able to find time to relax and have fun this summer. I am very excited to serve the students, staff and community this year. As we begin the 2023-2024 school year, I have renewed energy and excitement to help ensure success of our students.
As a Loudoun County native and a graduate from Potomac Falls High School, I feel privileged to work for LCPS where the priority is preparing our students to reach their full potential and achieve their dreams. The 2023-2024 school year marks my 13th year in education and 5th year as Assistant Principal. Prior to Sugarland, I served as an Assistant Principal at Forest Grove for 4 years. In addition, I taught 4th and 5th grade in the Sterling Park cluster. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in English and Special Education from Radford University. I then went on and completed a Master’s of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Shenandoah University. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, 5 year old son, and 3 year old daughter. You can often find me cheering on the Burgundy and Gold, as well as the rest of the local DC sports teams.
There are many exciting things happening this year at Sugarland. I am confident that our staff will work hard to support each of our Wildcats to achieve greatness and move forward in their learning. I look forward to working and collaborating with the students, families, staff and the community to help foster a life long love of learning.
