Hello, Mountain Lions! I am so excited to join the Mill Run family. As a member of the Mill Run community, I have heard amazing things about the school, and I look forward to making it my home.  I have worked in Loudoun County since 2007 in four different schools, where I served as a technology resource teacher, administrative intern and/or assistant principal.

For the past 8 years, I have been the assistant principal of Moorefield Station Elementary. During this time, I helped implement “Code to the Future”, Personalized Learning, the house system (positive behavior approach that builds community within the school) and many other initiatives. As an advocate for special education and mental health, I am bringing a wealth of experience and love to Mill Run.

Prior to my years in LCPS, I taught for 14 years in Arlington County as an art teacher and an instructional technology coordinator.  At that time, being a single mother of two children, I made the decision to teach close to my children’s school and moved to Loudoun County. In 2013, I married my husband and instantly became the mother of four more children. Believe me, six children can keep you busy. During the pandemic, we decided we needed to add to the family and brought home an 8-week-old puppy that is now almost 2 and … almost trained. Bentley is known as our Pandemic Puppy.

I am very excited to continue my adventures at Mill Run. I look forward to meeting each and everyone of you, especially your children.
