Mrs. Julie Saraceno

Hello!  My name is Julie Saraceno and I am thrilled to be joining the Lowes Island team this year as an itinerant Reading Specialist.  This is my 16th year in education and my 12th year as a Reading Specialist with LCPS. I grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania and earned my bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Disorders from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.  I began my teaching career in Fauquier County Public Schools, where I taught at the Elementary and Middle School Levels.  After graduating from the University of Virginia with a Master's Degree in Education (Reading), I began my career with Loudoun County Schools as a Reading Specialist.    

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our 15-year-old son, Owen, and our two Labrador Retrievers, Ruby and Beau.  I love to travel, bake and relax with a great book!  I am looking forward to an amazing school year!
