• Ms. Lambert

Hello, I’m Jeannie Lambert, a reading specialist for Goshen Post Elementary. I am an itinerant reading specialist, sharing my instructional time between Hutchison Farm Elementary each morning and Goshen Post Elementary each afternoon. I am originally from Riverton, WV, and I’m very proud to be a mountaineer!! I enjoy time spent with my family and friends, traveling the world, and soaking in the beauty of the mountains each chance I get!!

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from West Virginia University and a Master of Arts degree in Reading Education with an endorsement as a Reading Specialist from Marshall University (WV). Prior to coming to Loudoun County, I taught First grade in Highland County, VA and Second grade in Rockingham County, VA. I joined the Loudoun County Public School system in 2006. In 2009, I completed the rigorous requirements and coursework to become a National Board-Certified Teacher. In 2019, I earned the honor of becoming a National Board-Certified Teacher for the second time in my career, and I feel extremely honored about this achievement. I have also held the leadership role as the Greater Washington Reading Council President in 2013-2014, working alongside educators in promoting literacy and literacy education in the Northern Virginia 9 county region.

I look forward to the many wonderful opportunities at Goshen Post Elementary that will allow me to work with students, providing instruction using the Orton Gillingham approach that will challenge and excite them about reading.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns via email!
