Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Emily Parker
Last summer I turned 40 and finished up year 20 of teaching! I'm excited about number 21. I joined the Round Hill family 8 years ago and have taught grades first through fourth throughout my career. I look forward to coming back to work with the fabulous third-grade team.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Radford University in 2002. In August of 2010, I completed my Master's degree from George Mason University in Initiatives in Educational Transformation. I consider myself a lifelong learner and love being both a teacher and a student! In 2012, I officially received my National Board Certification. This was a huge personal accomplishment! This year I'm taking a graduate-level reading course to continue my quest to better myself and my practice.
Eight years ago, my husband Tom and I relocated our family to Clarke County. Ally (17), Dylan (14), and Grace (7) look forward to meeting all of you at PTO and school in-person events.
