  • Submission Guidelines

    • If you are looking to enter the poetry contest; scroll to the bottom of this page to submit your work.

    • As of Feb. 2022 only taking submissions for Seneca's Tempest (if interested in your work being published in the yearbook email the yearbook faculty sponsor at john.maier@lcps.org)

    • Make sure the submission is final copy quality (edited and revised for grammar and clarity, photos or scans of artwork are clear). If the only reason we can't publish is due to an error, we will make our best effort to reach out to the student to make corrections so their work can be published.

    • Make sure the link is the appropriate permission (link - anyone or anyone within LCPS can view if not sure how to do that watch this step by step screencast)

    • Story length: for digital submission, the max length is 10 pages double spaced for Seneca's Tempest. Note - space will limited in the yearbook for publication.

    • Stories, poems, and artwork should be appropriate for middle school audience (think PG and PG-13; or more R.L. Stine and less Stephen King)

    • Student maintains the rights to their submission (and if published may ask for it to be removed from the website at any time by emailing kathleen.busch@lcps.org)
