Ms. Angela Barley

School Counselor
C-E

Mrs. Barley is a graduate of Virginia Tech earning a Master of Education in School Counseling and receiving a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from George Mason University. She began her postsecondary education at James Madison University working towards becoming a Registered Nurse. She worked as a counselor in a group home for teens in Fairfax County, a PEER educator at a private school in the City of Alexandria, an administrative assistant for the Department of Defense, and a summer program director for YMCA before she transitioned to work for Loudoun County Public Schools.

While this is Mrs. Barley’s third year working as a school counselor at Tuscarora High School, she has worked as a school counselor for LCPS since 2000. She worked at the elementary level before having the opportunity to work at Tuscarora with such a wonderful and dynamic population of students. She feels honored to have the opportunity to help students achieve their education and career goals!

In Mrs. Barley’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her three children (ages 4, 15, and 17), making parenthood both energizing and rewarding. She also appreciates nature, going on hikes, gardening, cooking, going to concerts, playing with her Boston Terrier, and listening to music!

This year Mrs. Barley has the privilege of working with students with the last names C-E. She looks forward to helping our Huskies as they prepare for their post-secondary school journeys. Let's RISE to make those dreams a reality!
