Summer Residential Governor's School
The Summer Residential Governor’s School provides rising high school juniors and seniors with intensive educational experiences in visual and performing arts; humanities; mathematics, science, and technology; or through mentorships in marine science, medicine and health sciences, or engineering. All VDOE Governor's School Applications are due to Riverside by December 8, 2023.
- Visual/Performing Arts (VPA) audition registration deadline is on October 23, 2023. Auditions for the VPA programs are on October 30, 2023 at Briar Woods High School. Only students who auditioned and were approved to apply for their respective program may do so.
- World Language program applicants must be nominated by their world language teachers.
VDOE applications must be completed online, then printed and submitted to the Counseling Secretary, Mrs. Susan Gorman, in the School Counseling office. DO NOT staple your application. DO NOT send your application electronically to the VDOE. For the application, our division is Loudoun and the school code is 053-1050.

PAVAN Regional Governor's School for the Arts
PAVAN Regional Governor's School is a rigorous 2-week summer education program for rising high school students in the fields of classical guitar, theatre, visual arts and voice. Acceptance to this tuition-free program is merit-based only and all students must pass an audition to attend. PAVAN serves high school students who are in public, private or home schools in the counties of Frederick, Loudoun and Warren and the City of Winchester.
