See below for a summary of information regarding registration, payment, and administration of various standardized tests.
Standards of Learning (SOL) Testing
The Riverside Testing Coordinator, Mrs. Michi Bryant, administers SOL testing at Riverside. More details about SOLs, including requirements and review resources, are available on Mrs. Bryant's website and the Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Assessment Services website.
Advanced Placement (AP)
Advanced Placement testing at Riverside is administered by the Testing Coordinator, Mrs. Michi Bryant, during May each year in accordance with the strict guidelines established by the College Board. AP exams are optional. Every college has its own policies regarding what score on each exam will enable students to earn credit, so students should consult their prospective colleges to learn about such policies.

LCPS has created an excellent AP exam one-pager for families regarding registration and payment.
If you have questions about AP exam registration, please reach out to Mrs. Michi Bryant.

Students who have studied and attained higher proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation will be eligible to receive the Seal of Biliteracy from the Commonwealth of Virginia. This award encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors the skills our students attain and can be evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college admissions offices.
Beginning in SY23-24, we are excited to announce that the School Board has approved the implementation of Loudoun County Public Schools' first Dual Language Immersion Program. It will be available at two pre-designated elementary schools. Core content will be taught in Spanish and in English. More information will become available to the community as the program is developed this school year.
